biography
Macey Keung is a creator of many things. An artist, designer, filmmaker, photographer, entrepreneur and founder of Antifragile Zine, Macey has a knack for creative leadership and networking (though she hates this word. She calls it making genuine connections with people). Community-oriented and mission-driven, her work consistently explores radical vulnerability, femininity, and intersectionality aimed to disrupt the traditional narrative, shed light on the psychedelic renaissance, and catalyze meaningful conversations and societal change.
Growing up between New York, Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Berkeley, Macey now attends the University of California San Diego as a fourth-year Media major and serves as the Vice-President of the Psychedelics Club. At only age 18, she founded her own magazine publication and media platform, Antifragile Zine, to give other marginalized young creatives like herself a safe space to speak their truth and develop their creative aspirations. Publishing four print issues, working with over 200 artists, Antifragile Zine has a global audience of 15,000+ people. The mission of making others feel seen in art and amplifying the voices of LGBTQ+ BIPOC youth brings Macey meaning beyond just herself as an artist. This is ultimately what drives her forward, as Macey is an avid believer in the transformative power of youthful creativity and the indomitable spirit of those who dare to challenge the status quo.
